The fire took place on July 22 – a peaceful Monday in the summer holidays – in the Birmingham suburb of Minworth. It was caused by a package, but failed to do much damage.
It is not, in itself, an incident that should, as such, cause more attention. However, it is not unique: in Germany, a similar episode in Leipzig, a fire in a package, destroyed the contents of an entire shipping container.
