Hardly a day goes by without new leaks or rumors and now it’s the day for Intel’s upcoming results flagship to look out into the wild. According to new information from x.com user Jaykihn, Intel’s upcoming flagship Core Ultra 9 285K performs 18 percent better in Cinebench R23 than its predecessor Core i9-14900K at 250W.
In the table above, it is possible to read the result from previously tested ARL-ES2, that is Arrow Lake-S Engineering Sample 2 which is an earlier working version of the circuit. The new version that was tested is therefore the one named above ARL-S QS which means Qualification Sample and is thus closer to the finished circuit that ends up in stores.
Among other things, the new QS version should reach higher clock frequencies and extend to 5.7 GHz. The Core Ultra 9 285K consists of 8 “large” Lion Cove cores and 16 “small” Skymont cores over a total of 24 threads.
The new Arrow Lake processors are rumored to appear in the fall, so how close these early performance figures are to reality we hope to be able to investigate in the not too distant future.
As usual when it comes to leaks and rumours, it’s important to have the big salt shaker in front.
Are you keen to upgrade your processor this fall? Discuss in the thread!
