The months go by and seem to be all the same for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. The failures are piling up, as is the bad press. But a few days before the opening of the Games, Anne Hidalgo, Mayor of Paris, has finally kept her promise: to swim in the Seine. This July 17, 2024 is therefore to be marked with a white stone, Anne Hidalgo took a dip for a few minutes, to prove to her detractors that the Seine has been sufficiently depolluted so that a swim, but especially the various aquatic events, can be organized there without problem for the athletes. Of course, Internet users had a field day. The mockery rained down, while the tweeters on X were hilarious. The best of the tweets can be found just below.

-1,400,000,000 € for a (potentially) drinkable Seine, so that Anne Hidalgo can spend 3 minutes in it in front of the cameras.
