After Rebel MoonNetflix subscribers were recently able to discover the latest project from the famous director Zack Snyder, namely the animated series Twilight of the Gods. And while the feedback from Internet users regarding the Director’s Cut of his science fiction saga was mixed, it would seem that this new series plunging us into the heart of Norse mythology has been more successful in winning over the public.
Twilight of the Gods: Snyder’s new gem on Netflix?
One thing is for sure, not everyone is a fan of Zack Snyder.. After becoming known to the general public with Army of the Dead In 2004, the American director stood out with 300 (2006) et Watchmen: The Guardians (2009). Following this, he tackled the DC universe by introducing Henry Cavill’s Superman in Man of Steel (2013), which we could then find in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice et Justice League.
And while Snyder’s visual and narrative style may not be universally acclaimed, he remains one of the most famous directors of his time, which is why many are curious to see his new projects. And speaking of new releases, the public was recently able to discover Twilight of the Godsavailable since September 19 on Netflix.
This new animated series for adults revisits Norse mythology alongside Sigrida talented warrior who is about to marry Leif, a Viking king she met on the battlefield. But the ceremony will turn into a tragedy following the appearance of Thor, the famous god of thunder, who will exterminate the bride’s entire family. Following this, Sigrid will therefore embark on a vengeful quest, being ready to do anything to kill the Asgardian deity.
With its scenes as raw as they are explicit and its high level of uninhibited violence, it seems that Snyder’s latest project has managed to seduce fans, as evidenced by the positive feedback we can read about it on social networks.
