The iOS 18.3 code hides a secret app that Apple has not told us about
Apple could be preparing a new application for the iPhone which we had not heard about until now. iOS includes numerous applications, some more essential than others. One of the last to arrive was the Diario app; Freeform arrived before, and we may soon have another new application. At least that’s what the latest iOS 18.3 beta suggests.
As revealed in 9to5mac, References to this new app have been found in the source code of iOS 18.3 beta 2. They say that they already found references in the betas of iOS 18.2, but that with the final version of this update they were eliminated.
Apple’s new app could arrive in the near future
According to reports, the app will be called “Apple Invites” and its objective will be to Help users organize in-person meetings and events. Although this is something that can already be done from the Calendar app, it is expected that this app will be much more beautiful and intuitive, in addition to including new functions.
Basically, the application will allow view a list of people invited to an event and who have already confirmed their attendance. It’s not yet known if “Invites” will be a standalone app or if Apple plans to integrate it into other parts of the system, such as an extension within iMessage or the Calendar app itself.

It also seems that this app will be synced with iCloud and that we can manage the events created from the Apple cloud website with a specific app. Which indicates that it could be an important app by having its own web version.

iOS 18.3 is a pretty small update compared to other big iOS 18 updates released by Apple. And we know that, compared to iOS 18.4, it will also be almost negligible. Although it is true that this version is usually, traditionally, the one that includes the fewest improvements.
Even so, iOS 18.3 includes new features such as compatibility with robot vacuum cleaners cleaning in the Home app, a new dark design for the Camera Control button in Settings, and fixes for some bugs related to Apple Intelligence. In addition, in iOS 18.3 we have also recovered a very interesting Calculator app trick that had been lost with the arrival of iOS 18.
iOS 18.3 is expected to launch in early to mid-February, with new betas launching over the coming weeks. We will then be able to see if this secret app is still hidden in the code of the update or not.
