iOS 18 and macOS Sequoia public beta is officially out. What will happen to Apple Intelligence?

Apple has released the public beta version of its operating systems for iOS 18, iPadOS 18, macOS Sequoia, watchOS 11 and tvOS 18. The updates include new features and improvements that users with supported devices can now test on their Apple devices.

If you are eagerly awaiting the arrival of Apple Intelligence, I have to disappoint you in advance. Even though Apple’s AI will make its way into Siri and the system with the arrival of iOS 18, here in Europe we won’t be able to try it at least this year thanks to strict legislation. Even so, the new version offers a number of novelties for owners of Apple devices.

After all, people living in other continents are also currently wondering, as the advanced functions of Apple Intelligence are not yet available in beta versions. Apple plans to release them in the fall for iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max, Macs and iPads with an M1 processor or higher.

The iOS 18 beta brings significant changes, including support for RCS messages and new home screen customization options (finally?). Users can place apps anywhere and apply shades to icons and widgets. Also new is the redesigned Photos app, Control Center, and dark icon modes. iPadOS 18 includes similar improvements and adds a new native Calculator app for iPad.

WatchOS 11 beta includes new features such as rest days and the Apple Vitals app for monitoring nighttime health. The new version of macOS Sequoia allows you to mirror your iPhone to your Mac screen. TvOS 18 beta adds an Amazon X-Ray-like InSight feature for content on Apple TV Plus.

Those interested in beta testing can register to Apple beta program and find installation instructions on the company’s website.
