Apple Intelligence is the suite of AI-based technology that Apple promised would be coming in iOS 18. However, expectations are getting lower as time goes by as some of these features were promised to arrive in developer betas later this summer and that information has now disappeared from Apple’s website. However, development of the entire Apple Intelligence is still moving forward. Code for developer beta 4 shows that Apple intends to make use of the feature. Developers and users of the iOS 18 public beta and the rest of the operating systems in test are eager to be able to try it once and for all some of the functions from Apple Intelligence. It seems that everything is going to take longer in terms of time… but let’s hope it’s for a good reason. To date, none of the AI features that were presented at WWDC24 have been available to enjoy. and even less so in the European Union, where it is likely that it will not arrive until after the official publication of these new operating systems.

A few days ago, iOS 18 beta 4 for developers was released and the team at 9to5mac found evidence that Apple Intelligence could have one more use within users’ playlists. Apparently, the user could launch Image Playground, Apple’s image generator, to create playlist covers. A more complex form than the one we currently have, since you can only choose from a series of covers predesigned by Apple, and some parameters can be customized.
Using Image Playground would allow the user have personalized and creative covers using generative artificial intelligence that Apple will make available to users with iOS 18. Each image will be unique and will mean another level of personalization that the Big Apple has been providing to users in recent years.
