iOS 19 will incorporate a renewed, more conversational Siri

Artificial intelligence seems to be the jewel in the crown in recent months in most service presentations around the world. It is clear that Apple already joined it at WWDC24 by presenting all its bundle of functions under the Apple Intelligence banner. These features were part of the new iOS 18 and iPadOS 18. However, The sights are already set on iOS 19. According to the latest leaks, iOS 19 will incorporate a complete renovation of Siri giving it greater intelligence with a new LLM (large language model) that is more advanced and much more conversational.

Apple will renew Siri in iOS 19 with a more advanced LLM

He sunday bulletin from analyst Mark Gurman has arrived this week with a great clear winner: iOS 19. The analyst assured that this new operating system that will be released in June 2025, at WWDC25, will incorporate an almost complete renewal of the virtual assistant Siri. Thanks to the integration of a new, more advanced LLM, it will allow Siri to be brought closer to other more complex and complete chatbots such as ChatGPT.

In fact, the incorporation of this new technology could do without OpenAI in the sense of stopping integrating ChatGPT as will happen starting with iOS 18.2. Gurman assures that Siri in iOS 19 will be more like ChatGPT being more conversational and more complex.

On the other hand, it draws attention the scheduled delay of big iOS 19 features. Apparently, this renewed Siri would arrive in spring 2026 with iOS 19.4 although it will be announced at WWDC25. Furthermore, Mark Gurman assures that Apple has postponed many additional features, many of them planned for the original release of iOS 19, for iOS 19.4.

With still many months of development ahead, Apple continues to consider the evolution of all the new integration of Apple Intelligence in its devices, now with its mind set on iOS 19.
