At CES 2025, accessory maker Zugu unveiled an iPad kit with accessories called In Case of Deathwhich translated means “in case of death.”
In Case of Death includes:
︎ iPad Pro 11 with M4 chip
︎ Limited Edition Zugu 360 Protective Case
︎ In Case of Death smart ring with heart rate monitoring technology
︎ In Case of Death application
The idea of the device is as follows: the user wears a smart ring and uses an iPad. In the event of death, when the pulse stops and the oxygen level in the blood drops sharply, the ring recognizes the occurrence of death and sends a signal to the application.
After receiving the signal, the application automatically deletes browser history and other user data, starts cyclic playback of the song Rick Astley Rickroll My Loved Ones and sends a farewell tweet.
The company is confident that this decision will be appreciated by those who do not want their secrets to be known after death.
It’s designed for those with embarrassing search histories, scandalous camera footage, incriminating evidence, or a secret second family in Uruguay.

The price of the set is $1500 (~155 thousand rubles). The company has already started accepting orders. (TechCrunch)
