Pre-orders for the new models of iPhone 16 were opened yesterday at 2:00 PM and, like every year, they immediately highlighted a shortage of stock for the Pro versions, particularly for the Pro Max.
With just 24 hours to go until pre-orders opened, delivery times for several iPhone 16 Pro models have already slipped beyond their official September 20 launch date. In particular, all configurations of theiPhone 16 Pro Max now show waiting times of 3-4 weeks, regardless of color and storage capacity.
As expected, the Pro Max model appears to be the most sought-after model and with the least stock available at launch.
The situation is slightly better for theiPhone 16 Pro basewhere all models indicate an estimated delivery of 2-3 weeks. Obviously this is a situation exclusive to the Apple store, since if you want to pre-order on Amazon the iPhone 16 Pro, the release date remains set for September 20.
As for theiPhone 16 Plusmost models still maintains the delivery date of September 20with some exceptions like the Teal 256GB and the Pink 512GB. Finally, for theiPhone 16 standard only some Teal versions show delays, with times up to 2-3 weeks, showing that that color is particularly popular with users.
Apple recommends customers to check regularly delivery times, which may vary rapidly. Alternatively, you can head to an Apple Store on September 20 to purchase the new iPhone at launch, if available, as stock of each model, in every variant and memory size, is always allocated to the various stores around the world.
Now it remains to be seen whether this is the case a smaller allocation from Apple for its stores (by virtue of making the iPhone 16 also available to various official resellers and telephone operators) or whether on September 20 the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max will actually be unavailable everywhere.
