Everything converges to the fact that the big decision was made by Apple to bring a new replacement for the Plus version, so from September 2025 we are invited to meet the iPhone 17 Air! The phone was originally rumored to be called iPhone 17 Slim and today we learn its thickness and find out if the term actually corresponds to the thickness of the device!
According to a note by Hong Kong-based investment bank Haitong, tthe iPhone 17 Air could be around 6mm in diameter. If this is indeed the case, this will be the thinnest iPhone ever made, even thinner than the iPhone 6 with a 6.9mm profile.
Much is still unknown, but we already have some details. The new iPhone should have 6.6 inch screen and A19 chip (the vanilla variant, not the Pro model).
It could only have one camera on the back, which can be heard like a dealbreakerbut analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has already stated that Apple wants to “emphasize the innovative design of the new form factor,” so don’t expect the camera setup to be top-notch.
