iPhone 17 May Come With 3nm Chip Instead of 2nm

Phone Chip Expert, a source who has been making accurate predictions about Apple’s plans, claimed on Monday that reports that the iPhone 17 will use TSMC’s next-generation 2nm process are fake news. According to a post shared by Chip Expert, the 2nm process won’t enter mass production until the end of 2025.

The account owner, who claims to have 25 years of experience in the integrated circuit industry, including work on Intel’s Pentium processors, suggests that the iPhone 17 will still use TSMC’s 3nm process. The Weibo user who disputes claims that 2nm will be ready for the iPhone 17 has a good track record of making accurate predictions.

Phone Chip Expert was the first to point out that the iPhone 7 will be water-resistant, that the standard iPhone 14 models will continue to use the A15 Bionic chip, while the A16 chip will be exclusive to the iPhone 14 Pro models.
