iPhones have always been among the best photomobiles, but Apple has never chased useless numbers in this area. You won’t find 100 or 200Mpx cameras, inch photochips or 100x zoom on phones from Cupertino, which is a good approach, but a little more zoom would certainly not be out of place. We will advise you how to do it.
How’s the iPhone doing in terms of zoom?
The current line of iPhones, i.e. the sixteenth generation, offers a maximum of 10x zoom in the iPhone 16 / 16 Plus and 25x zoom in the top pair Pro and Pro Max. In both cases, of course, this is a digital approximation, and both values are at most average. Fortunately, this can be changed.
Speaking of which, high levels of digital zoom are certainly not dizzying quality, and this also applies to maximum zoom on iPhones. Sometimes, however, a good zoom, despite its poorer quality, can be useful, and on iPhones it is possible to increase the maximum value of the digital zoom even more.
Well hidden zoom
How to do it? It’s very simple, and you’ll need the Magnifier app to add it to your Control Center. Download it, hold your finger on an empty spot and add the Magnifier app shortcut to it. Then launch the application and you can start taking photos.
Again, set the highest available zoom, which will still have a value of 10× / 25× and take a picture. Thanks to the Lupa application, however, you will be able to additionally zoom in the resulting photo, and not just a little, which can certainly come in handy in certain situations. For example, when you need to read a vehicle’s license plate from a long distance.
