Iranian Foreign Minister: “Biden knows about Israel’s plan to retaliate?” “You have to take responsibility”

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Arakchi warned on the 19th (local time) that U.S. President Joe Biden “must be held accountable” for saying he was aware of Israel’s plan to retaliate against Iran.

On this day, Minister Arakchi said on “You must take responsibility,” he said.

According to Bloomberg News, on his way back to the United States after visiting Germany the previous afternoon, President Biden answered “yes” to a reporter’s question about whether he knew when and how Israel would respond to an Iranian attack.

Iran launched about 200 ballistic missiles at Israel on the 1st in retaliation for the bombing of Hassan Nasrallah, head of the Lebanese armed group Hezbollah.

There has been speculation that Israel may strike oil, nuclear or military facilities in Iran, hinting at retaliation.

White House National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan said at an in-flight briefing during President Biden’s visit to Germany on the 17th that there had been “constructive communication” with Israel.
