Guitarist of the group Iron Maiden, Adrian Smithlost his Malibu home to the Los Angeles fire, as his wife Nathalie Dufresne-Smith announced on Instagram.

On Saturday, Nathalie shared a post with the message, “We lost our house,” adding, “We’re safe. We have each other. We’re starting over. Thank you for your support in these difficult times.”

Smith is just one of many musicians and music industry professionals who have lost their homes in these fires. Among them is a famous producer Bob Clearmountainwho worked on albums by Bruce Springsteen, Paul McCartney, The Rolling Stones, David Bowie and many others. His studio “Mix This!” burned down in a fire.

“We picked up everything we could,” Clearmountain told Los Angeles Times. “I can’t look back now. I have to say, ‘OK, what next?’ I will change the style in which I work. I will do it differently, and hopefully better than before. That’s all I can think about right now.”

Primus guitarist Larry “Ler” LaLonde also lost his home in the fire, his wife Shane confirmed on Instagram. “We lost everything. I’m still trying to understand that we have nothing,” she wrote.
