A Taiwan Economic Daily according to his report, MediaTek is working on its own AI accelerators intended for servers. All we know about the development is that it would be manufactured on TSMC’s 3 nm node and would be based on ARM IPs. What form the company intends to take on the latter is still in question, but ARM has an AI-optimized CPU core and NPU design, so a scalable combination of these is also conceivable.

If we start from the possibilities, optimal tiles can be put together for the inference stage of machine learning, and this is a very large market that is well worth attacking. In addition, according to the news, the first such product will be ready by the end of the year, so it can be available in small quantities already this year, which also means that MediaTek will be able to talk about it in more detail later.
