The three-time Grand Slam champion and two-time Olympic champion said goodbye to active activity with a loss in the quarterfinals of the doubles at the Olympics in Paris, when together with his compatriot Daniel Evans, they lost to the American duo Taylor Fritz and Tommy Paul 2:6, 4:6.

The 37-year-old Scotsman has already announced that he will put an end to his rich career by performing at the Paris Olympics.

During it, he was the leader of the world rankings, in 2013, with his triumph in the final over Serbian Novak Djokovic, he ended Great Britain’s 77-year wait for a men’s champion at Wimbledon.

He added another title on the grass of the All England Club three years later, in 2012 he also won the US Open. He won the Olympic singles titles in 2012 and 2016. In 2015, he led the British to triumph in the Davis Cup.

Murray won a total of 46 tournament titles during his career. At the end of it, he suffered a series of injuries, underwent hip surgery twice, and lastly underwent back surgery in June.
