“Is release imminent?” M4 Mac and accessory new product launch prediction

There were a lot of rumors that a new Mac based on the M4 chip would be released this fall. Most recently, Bloomberg News reported that the M4 Mac would be released in the last week of October, and that there would be an invitation-only experience event in Los Angeles on October 30th.

In line with what I’ve been reporting for a while, Apple will very soon launch its new Macs. There should be some hands-ons outside of Cupertino and online video. I expect the M4 iMac, MacBook Pro, revamped Mac mini and USB-C accessories.

Apple is inviting media/creators at different appointment times throughout the day on 10/30 in my town of LA — they seemingly aren’t bringing a group together to watch a keynote video. So the announcement is online only (video and press releases), as I’ve been indicating.

In addition, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman only stated that ‘online video’ would be released. It is unknown whether this video is a presentation or advertisement for the product. At one time, there were rumors that the iPad MIDI would be released along with the M4 Mac, but after the iPad mini was released, there were also predictions that Apple would give up the Mac announcement event and only issue press releases.

In the past, Gurman predicted that the M4 Pro Macs would include the MacBook Pro, iMac, and Mac Mini. Recently, MacRumors reported that the iOS 18.1 release candidate code included code for the new Magic Mouse 2, Magic Trackpad 2, and new Magic Keyboard. These accessories are one of the few older products that work with the Lightning port after the AirPod Max upgrade last September.
