Comedian Ismo Leikola had to flee the wildfires raging in Los Angeles. Ismo had to leave his home when the fires were approaching and he received an evacuation order like many others.

Leikola published that he was safe In an Instagram update.

– Los Angeles is on fire. I have to evacuate myself from my home. Many of the houses have burned down and tomorrow I will definitely find out if my home is one of the burned down ones. Thick smoke is everywhere and breathing was difficult. Now I’m far from home and safe. I hope everyone else is safe and well, Leikola said in an update she shared on Instagram.

Fortunately, his home was saved, and the fire had not spread to that particular house. He thanks in the update rescue firefighting and rescue personnel.

15,000 hectares of land burned

At least 11 people have died in the fires, but not all fire areas have been reached yet due to the serious situation.

The fire was partially brought under control, but the largest of the fires, the Pacific Palisades fire, started to spread again on Saturday.

In California, in the big city of Los Angeles, several wildfires have been raging since Tuesday. About 15,000 hectares of land have burned in seven wildfires. There are at least 12,000 destroyed buildings.

Leikola has lived in Los Angeles since 2015.
