On December 11-12, Moscow will host the ISP RAS Open Conference, the leading scientific and practical event in the field of system programming in Russia. This year the conference is dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the institute and the 300th anniversary of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Together with them, among the organizers are the Academy of Cryptography of the Russian Federation, the National Technology Center for Digital Cryptography, the Foundation for Advanced Research, as well as the international associations IEEE and IEEE Computer Society.
“Over 30 years, our operating model, combining education, research and innovation, has proven its sustainability and ability to drive long-term growth. We started with R&D contracts with international companies. Now all the technologies we create are owned by us or transferred to open source projects“, said the director of the Institute of Social Sciences of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Harutyun Avetisyan. ‒ The institute has become a distributed competence center that gathers around itself a variety of communities – from specialists in Linux kernel analysis to ERP system developers. We unite 800 employees and 200 students. More than 200 companies use our tools. We simultaneously ensure technological independence domestically and remain open by working on open source projects with the international developer community. This idea of openness, which is especially important these days, is emphasized by our conference, which this year will bring together more than a thousand participants, as well as dozens of companies and universities.”
This year, the ISP RAS Open Conference will be held at a new venue – in the Lomonosov innovation cluster, and will begin with a plenary session with the participation of representatives of the academic community, leading IT companies, industry associations and government ministries and departments. Further round tables on the development of secure software are planned. A workshop “Trusted Artificial Intelligence Systems” will be held, which will be attended by representatives of the Research Center for Trusted Artificial Intelligence (ITRCI) of the ISP RAS, as well as its industrial partners (Kaspersky Lab, ES-Leasing, Technoprom, Interprocom) and other research centers.
Traditional sections of peer-reviewed scientific reports on analysis, modeling and transformation of programs, data management and information systems, CAD of microelectronic equipment, solving problems of continuum mechanics using open source software, and linguistic analysis systems are also planned. The round table “Digital Medicine” will bring together representatives of leading medical centers in Russia – Sechenov University, Research Institute of Eye Diseases named after. MM. Krasnov and others. For the second time, the section “Russian Open Source: development of libraries in the field of AI” will be held, organized jointly with the Innovation Promotion Foundation.
