The International Football Federation (FIFA) postponed the proposal of sanctions by Palestine, which also demanded the suspension of the activity of the Israeli association due to violations of human and humanitarian rights in the Gaza Strip.
The Palestine Football Association (PFA) called for a vote to expel Israel at the FIFA Congress, which was supported only by Jordan in the room.
However, according to the president of world football’s governing body, Gianni Infantino, this decision is within the competence of the FIFA Council, which will request an independent legal assessment. The news was brought by the DPA agency.
