The Palestinian news agency WAFA reported on the 4th (local time) that at least 10 Palestinian journalists were killed in attacks by Israeli forces last month.
The Palestinian Journalists Association claimed in a statement that Israel committed a total of 84 illegal acts against journalists in the Palestinian territories, including the Gaza Strip, last month.
The association reported that a total of 10 journalists were killed during this period, and five of them were attacked while in a live broadcast vehicle.
About 20 journalists were arrested by Israeli authorities and their reporting was blocked, and seven of them were imprisoned.
The association claimed that there were 11 cases in which the Israeli military fired live ammunition at reporters.
The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip, which is ruled by the Palestinian armed faction Hamas, said in a statement on the 5th that 45,805 Palestinian residents have been killed and 109,064 injured since the war broke out in October 2023.
It added that 88 people were killed and 208 injured in the last 24 hours alone. Gaza’s Ministry of Health does not distinguish between civilians and combatants in its casualty tally.
