ISW: the Russian army is suffering in beautiful silence

The American think tank states: the Russian military command is obviously counting on the fact that in the long term the fighting ability of the Ukrainian forces will be exhausted and that the West will also tire as the war drags on. In this way, the Russian military will be able to gain territory within Ukraine more and more quickly.

ISW states: the continuous offensive is seriously depleting the reserves of the Russian armed forces, both in terms of manpower and combat vehicles.

They expect: the Russian offensive cannot be dragged on indefinitely, the dynamics of the attack will have to be reduced in some sectors, which will give the Ukrainian forces the opportunity to take the initiative.

American analysts see it as: the fact that Moscow is constantly increasing the salaries and benefits for soldiers, a sign that the pool of volunteers is starting to run out, but Putin still wants to avoid mobilization. The ISW also notes that despite the foreign aid from North Korea, Iran, and China, the Russian armed forces will use up the reserves of combat vehicles very quickly, even in the medium term, it is not expected that the military industrial capacity will be able to make up one by one for the losses seen on the front line.
