BELGRADE – Samsung Electronics launched a campaign this week with the aim of empowering people to remain authentic, celebrating the uniqueness of each region and proudly presented a solution, so that in the future every citizen of Belgrade will know what a “cačkolj” is, and a “gornjak” will not only be worn in Vojvodina, the denim jacket will get blue all over the country.

With the help of Google, the Circle to Search option is integrated on Samsung phones*, which allows us to easily search practically everything that appears on the screen. How does it work? Hold down the Home button, after which your screen will glow in a blue-pink shade. Then simply circle the term you are interested in with your finger and a Google search will automatically be activated for the exact thing you circled. Seen a really nice phone case? Shoes or a watch? Take a photo and with a simple movement of your finger find out where and for how much you can buy the item you want.

The Circle to Search option also effectively helps to search for words. So every unique expression you read in a chat with friends who are not from the same place as you, you don’t have to interpret the context and ask sub-questions. Simply circle the word that is bothering you and you will get precise answers.

This is exactly what started the idea and set the goal – let’s enrich the language, but not with loanwords and foreign words, but with our unique expressions, which are abundant in every corner of Serbia.

In Belgrade, Novi Sad and Niš, you have the opportunity to see billboards with characteristic words that are not specific to the area where they are located: “Be my sija when it gets cold” “You from my heart I love you” and “I really love you like this”.

Passers-by with a Samsung phone* will easily get the exact meaning of an unknown word in 2 clicks and with one circular movement of the finger, with the help of the Circle to Search option.
