When Google released the stable source code for Android 15 at the beginning of September, you could guess that the full release was just around the corner. The new operating system is always initially available on the tech giant’s Pixel phones, and this will be no different. While the debut of the Pixel 9 family didn’t end up bringing the latest version of Android, that will change within weeks.
A Android Headlines revealed the other day that Android 15 is expected to be released on October 15, so Hungarian users will also be able to update their Pixel phones from then on. According to the report, the date will only change if a glaring problem is found that needs to be fixed immediately.
It will be possible to update to the new system back to the Pixel 6 series – this will be the last major version update for the devices of this product family. If everything goes according to the current schedule, Android 15 will be available on supported phones from other manufacturers sometime in the coming months.
