The worst oil for frying has been named. Gastroenterologist and nutritionist Irina Berezhnaya spoke about this, reports Radio Sputnik.
According to her, one should not fry in butter. The doctor explained that when such oil is heated to a temperature above 70 degrees, free radicals are formed.
If you fry in butter regularly and eat such food, the risk of cancer will increase significantly, Berezhnaya claims. Lard is slightly less harmful, but it is also not ideal due to its high calorie content, the doctor added.
In her opinion, it is best to fry foods in olive oil – when heated, free radicals are not formed.
