The foreign adviser said this in response to a question from the Indian news agency ANI at the UN headquarters in New York on Tuesday.

What kind of steps has been taken by the interim government led by Muhammad Yunus?” Tauhid Hussain said in response to a question from Indian journalists, “It is not right that any violence is being portrayed as violence against Hindus.”

He said, “I think the Indian media needs to refrain from exaggerating this issue. We are doing everything possible to protect our citizens and the Hindus of Bangladesh are our citizens, we are taking care of them.’

Tauhid Hossain also said that the interim government of Bangladesh is making all efforts to protect the citizens of the country.
