The new projectors from LG will serve as a “mood” lamp and can conjure up to a 2.5-meter image on the wall. However, the parameters do not impress everyone.
The consumer electronics fair CES in Las Vegas has started again after a year, which is a feast for the eyes of technology enthusiasts. It is not for nothing that manufacturers of consumer electronics postpone the introduction of new products for this biggest event of the year. Korean LG is no exception. Among other things, the company presented a new series of CineBeam portable projectors, which not only have interesting features, but can also be a decoration for the home. Their design resembles a lamp or a compact fan.
The PF600U projector combines a Full HD projector, a Bluetooth speaker and an LED lamp. With a weight of 7.5 kg, it offers two speakers, a lamp with nine color modes and five brightness levels. The projector head can be tilted in the range of 110 degrees, which enables flexible image adjustment. However, with a brightness of 300 ANSI lumens, it is more suitable for darker environments, where its image with a resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels stands out.

The parameters of the CineBeam S model are somewhat better, and with dimensions of 110 × 160 × 160 millimeters, they can project a 4K resolution image with a diagonal of up to 2.5 meters over a short distance. It is equipped with stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support and has a brightness of 500 lumens. Although this brightness is already somewhat better than the previous model, it is still not enough for high-quality film projection on a sunny day.
Both projectors use the webOS platform. LG has not yet announced prices or availability of the new projectors. Those interested will therefore have to wait a few more weeks or months.
