The MAE informs Romanian citizens who are in, transiting or want to travel to Portugal that the Portuguese authorities have issued an adverse weather alert – orange code of short-term heavy precipitation, with hail, accompanied by storms and electrical discharges, for the period 15 – November 17, 2024, in the Madeira Archipelago and the southern area of Mainland Portugal (Alentejo and Algarve).
The MAE recommends consulting the web page of the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA) https://www.ipma.pt/pt/otempo/prev.significativa/ and the National Authority for Emergency Situations and Civil Protection (ANEPC – Autoridade Nacional de Emergência e Proteção Civil) https://prociv.gov.pt/pt/home/ to get updated information in real time.
At the same time, the MAE recommends consulting the web pages http://lisabona.mae.ro and http://mae.roas well as the Facebook page of the Romanian Embassy in Lisbon.

+351.213.972.648; the calls being redirected to the Contact and Support Center of Romanian Citizens Abroad (CCSCRS) and taken over by the Call Center operators, on a permanent basis.
