“It screams to the sky”: Tobacco manufacturers make money from you if you get sick from smoking

Vthe world’s five biggest tobacco manufacturers make money off you if you get sick from smoking their cigarettes. They have invested billions in medical products. Their investments are particularly focused on medicines that are used against diseases that particularly affect smokers – asthma, COPD, arteriosclerosis, heart attacks, cancer and diabetes – or that are intended for nicotine withdrawal.

This is shown by a study that Politiken has carried out together with The Investigative Desk in the Netherlands and the British Medical Journal.
