Although nothing impresses, there are a few reasonable offers in between, as Politiken tests alcohol-free pilsners from some of the big breweries. The best is Staropramen’s alcohol-free offering, while both Tuborg and Heineken are not worth drinking.

There is no doubt that non-alcoholic beers are developing rapidly – this can be seen from both the supply in the supermarkets and the sales, which have developed explosively. This is shown, among other things, by figures from Coop, which saw that the sale of alcohol-free beer in its stores increased by 30 percent from 2022 to 2023 – and that more than eight times as much alcohol-free beer is sold today compared to 2010. At the same time, the supply increased significantly. Coop today has over 100 varieties in its range, compared to only half as many just a few years ago.
