IT systems around the world stopped due to a software update – the company responsible for what happened and Microsoft also commented –

The error, which affected many areas from air transport to the banking system, is in progress.

All signs point to the fact that the software of the cyber security company CrowdStrike, or more precisely an antivirus, is being updated for the chaos caused by a global IT failure today – he wrote not long ago BBC referring to the world’s largest passenger airline, American Airlines. Among other things, the aforementioned company offers its customers solutions such as CrowdStrike Falcon, which provides automatic protection against threats and is able to report cyber attacks in real time.

In the meantime, CrowdStrike admitted its responsibility, meaning that those who initially blamed Microsoft for what happened were wrong, assuming that the problem occurred in Windows-based IT systems.

Due to their concern, the people of Redmond also spoke out, the tech giant’s spokesperson gave a brief statement to the BBC:

“We are aware of an issue affecting Windows devices due to an update to a third-party software platform. We expect the situation to be resolved as soon as possible.”

By definition, the solution is waiting for CrowdStrike, according to the statement written by the CEO George Kurtz, he is actively working to eliminate the error causing disruptions at the Budapest airport as well, in cooperation with the affected customers. He made it clear that there was no question of a cyber attack or any other cyber security incident caused by an external influence. The error has been identified, isolated and the repair is in progress – added Kurtz, who is to NBC News in a flash interview, he expressed his regret for what happened and apologized to the customers.

For now, however, neither this nor the assumption of responsibility affected the market, the price of the company’s shares began to plummet, at the time of writing the papers are worth 13 percent less.
