A Buckingham Palace spokesperson stated that Queen Camilla’s doctors “recommended that she rest for a short period of time.” “It is with great regret that His Majesty has to withdraw from this week’s events.” He made a statement.
Spokesperson, Queen’s “He hopes to recover in time to participate in activities this weekend as normal.” he added.
Spokesman, “We apologize to anyone who may have been inconvenienced or disappointed as a result.” he said.
Noting that Camilla is currently resting at home, the spokesperson stated that she is under the supervision of a doctor.
It was stated that Birgitte, Duchess of Gloucester, will replace Camilla to attend the commemoration event at Westminster Abbey on Thursday.
Camilla also withdrew from the reception to be held by King Charles at Buckingham Palace for Olympic and Paralympic athletes that same evening.
No further details about Camilla’s illness or treatment have been disclosed, as she recently returned from an overseas tour that included Australia and Samoa.
