The fire was caused by the coincidence of several reasons indicating an electrical fault. The technical condition of the switch, the presence of voltage on the phase conductor, a series of installation errors, the lack of maintenance and the lack of standard review of the terrace lighting fixtures

– this can be read in the decision recently received by the mayor of Miskolc.

József Tóth-Szántai (Pont Mi Egyesület, Fidesz-KDNP) in a video uploaded to his social media page, in addition to explaining the content of the fire investigation report, said that the municipality will take the necessary legal steps in order to find out who can be held responsible for the lack of maintenance work.

He confirmed that the Barlangfürdő will definitely be rebuilt.

The facility caught fire on the evening of September 6, and its roof was completely burned. According to previous information, the fire started on the second floor of the spa’s aquatherapy section and spread to the roof structure from there. The flames were extinguished after midnight, and no one was injured in the fire.
