After the teaser of the new Dragster 700 Twin, the fresh model of the company Italjet has finally been revealed in its entirety.
It is easy to see that its main market rivals will be the Yamaha TMAX 560 and the Honda Forza 750 in terms of performance, but the Dragster 700 is a stripped-down and purely sporty model with no frills. In fact, the boss of Italjet said that he does not want to call it a “scooter” at all. As a result, there is no storage space in front of and under the seat, footboard and large windshield.
It’s powered by Benelli’s water-cooled DOHC parallel twin engine, which makes 68bhp and is mated to a six-speed manual gearbox. It is much more powerful than TMAX’s 47 and Forza’s 58 “horses”.
As we mentioned earlier, the higher-spec Factory Edition includes Ohlins suspension, Brembro brake calipers, an Akrapovič exhaust and black/gold graphics. Common components on both stock and factory versions are underseat exhaust, Marzocchi USD forks, adjustable rear shock, 15-inch wheels, dual disc brakes up front, Ohlins steering damper.
Italjet opened ordering for the Factory Edition from July 12, and it will last until the last day of the EICMA fair or until all 700 copies are sold.
And finally, the price. The standard version of the Italjet Dragster 700 Twin will cost around 12,900 euros, while the Factory Edition will be 2,000 euros more expensive.
