It’s a special feeling when you help others (PHOTO)

VIEWERS of Radio-Television of Serbia, since a week ago, have the opportunity to watch the morning program in a completely new guise, under the slogan “Waking up with a smile”. A well-known concept that has lasted for almost 40 years has changed its appearance. Popular TV journalist and presenter Milenko Krišan is also part of the new host team, who, as was the case so far on Radio-Television of Vojvodina, and every morning on the First Program of the Public Service of Serbia within the Morning Program, will captivate the audience near the small screens with charm and immediacy.

– In every live program, even in the morning, spontaneity, but also controlled improvisation give the impression of naturalness. At the same time, it creates an image for the viewer that we are also quite ordinary people, who only do a slightly more specific job – Milenko points out to us at the very beginning of the interview for “TV Novosti”, who in the studio of the morning program, on a certain day, is joined by colleagues, Nikolina Rakić, Maja Bojić, Bojana Marković and Marko Ivas.

– The morning program of RTS, apart from being the most watched, is proven to be of the highest quality and is the longest running. The biggest challenge for us is that we have set high standards for ourselves – the new face of the morning program on RTS reveals to us.

*What awaits us in the new morning program?

– First of all, a new visual identity, the most modern studio, my dear colleagues, new TV faces, and that’s the first thing you can see. When you turn up the volume, you will hear all the necessary service information from all over Serbia, warm human stories, as well as analyzes of current socio-political, sports, cultural and entertainment events.

*How will you further attract the audience?

– Very easy. To exclusive guests, quick and timely information, but also by listening to the voice of the public.

*Which famous Novi Sad resident would you like to host in the morning program?

– The team called “State Job”, more precisely one of the most popular brands in Novi Sad. It is a real pleasure to be in the company of Čvarkov, Torbica and Boškić, and I am sure that there will be an opportunity to host them in the new Morning Program.

*Are you a morning person or are you one of those people who don’t speak before the first coffee?

– Due to circumstances, more precisely seven years of work in the morning program of Radio-television of Vojvodina, I became the morning guy. Coffee – can, but is not necessarily needed to talk in the early hours of the morning.

*You are always smiling and in a good mood in the program, how do you maintain good energy when you have a bad day?

– Responsibility towards the viewers is important, because they are the ones we work for, and when you have in your little brain that your smile can improve the morning or brighten the day of the person on the other side of the screen, it is enough that even those bad things, at least during the show, I leave it aside.

*Colleagues say that the presenters of the morning program are the most informed journalists. Do you agree with this statement?

– It is certainly a prerequisite for them to be excellent and perform their work at the highest possible level. Considering that the Morning program of the Radio-television of Serbia is the oldest, as well as the most watched in the country, it is a great responsibility and a constant need to improve, in order to justify the weight of the show it carries.

*How important do you think the immediacy in running the program, which is characteristic of you, is important for gaining the sympathy of the viewers?

– I just started doing the morning program on the Public Service of Serbia. Well, let’s let time show what and how it will be, so they can talk about it in a future period (laughs).

*In a live program, both your mistakes and those of the guests are inevitable. How do you cover them up and what do you remember as the funniest moment in your career so far?

– Mostly, conceals the colleague who is next to you at that moment and takes the floor. These are situations when you exchange words while making announcements or reacting to events, with external colleagues from the field.

*What is the most beautiful and what is the most difficult in your job?

– The best thing is that you have the opportunity to be in homes all over Serbia and that you make someone’s everyday life better with your work. The most difficult thing is to justify the trust shown, to be constantly at a high level and to understand that “you don’t live on old glory”, that is, after a well-done show and leaving the studio, you are immediately focused on what awaits you tomorrow.

*Is success today built and measured on “Instagram” and what is your attitude towards it?

– Many things can be faked, I think it’s not measurable, but it’s equally important to be present on that social network because that way we are closer and more accessible to the viewers, for all the suggestions, criticisms, and for some praise, why not (laughter) .

*What did you collect and give away, and what was returned to you with a profit?

– I’m still collecting receipts for the prize game “Take a receipt and win” and I’m waiting for it to come back to me with a housing win (laughs). I’m kidding. I don’t think that way and I don’t have any expectations. Honestly, I help from the bottom of my heart whenever I have the opportunity and as much as I can, without thinking that something beautiful happened later as a consequence of that. The inner feeling that a person has when he helps another is immeasurable. You should always help as much as you can.

*What are your hobbies, what do you do with your free time?

– Horse riding, fishing, socializing in nature and staying in the countryside. As they say “my village, more beautiful than Paris”. I love it all because I am relaxed by being in touch with nature and animals. When it’s once a week or a month, then I just want it even more, because I would practice it two to three times a week. I love everything that is in contact with nature, I also love hunting and fishing, but riding is something special.
