For a while I thought that the opening piece for ‘Dream of Autumn’ at Aalborg Theater was probably Jon Fosse’s text (from 1999). If nothing else there is the text, I thought. It can’t go wrong. Fosse’s theatrical language is simple and easy to understand, it is clear and rhythmic in a meditative way, until the sense of time and place has dissolved.
Like he’s replaying the same little scene over and over until life is over. He tells the big things and the small things at the same time.
