We’ve been dying for buttons to completely disappear from our devices and here’s Apple bringing back this feature, yes we’re having a big comeback as the physical camera shutter button will be getting a lot of wear this year! Oppo Find X8 and X8 Pro will launch with such a quick download button. In a lengthy post on Weibo, Oppo’s Find series product manager Zhou Yibao explained the reasoning behind the introduction of the quick download button on the company’s upcoming premium models.
The post describes “a few pain points” and thus the Oppo representative expresses the need he felt for a quick and easy way to take photos without using touch screen controls. These included personal experiences with freezing temperatures and wearing gloves and a rafting trip that it made it impossible to use the touch screen and take pictures because of the splashing water and the constant shaking of the raft where he was a passenger.
And while the camera control button on the iPhone 16 series has a special touch area, the Oppo man also considered the need for a simple and straightforward mechanical button used exclusively for taking photos.
