The first model of the new luxury sub-brand Maextro will debut on November 26, and it is a joint venture between JAC and Huawei. These companies have announced earlier that they will surpass Maybach and Rolls-Royce when it comes to luxury and comfort.

It is the Maextro S800, a luxury electric car with a length of about 550 cm.

Yu Chengdong, head of Huawei’s Smart Car Solutions division, announces that it will be a high-end car. “Our goals exceed the level of Maybach and Rolls-Royce’s Phantom. It will be more luxurious and comfortable than these cars,” says Yu. The intention is to “disrupt” the ultra-luxury car market.

According to the Chinese tradition, the designers emphasized the status with chrome elements, two-tone bodywork and “monoblock” wheels.

According to preliminary data, the Maextro S800 is based on a new platform for electric cars. On behalf of the IT giant Huawei, the development was carried out by the Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance (HIMA).

The Maextro cars will cost more than one million yuan (132,450 euros), and according to Chinese media reports, JAC intends to produce up to 35,000 vehicles a year.
