Jack Black has canceled the rest of his band Tenacious D’s world tour after his bandmate made a controversial comment about the assassination attempt on Donald Trump.
The star said he was “blindsided” by Kyle Gass’ on-stage remarks and “all future creative plans” for their band are in question.
The rock comedy group was on stage in Sydney, Australia. Gass was asked to make a birthday wish.
Jack Black ‘will never tolerate hate speech’
“Don’t miss Trump next time,” Gass replied, according to Sky News.
Later, on Instagram, Jack Black said that he “will never tolerate hate speech or encourage political violence in any form. After much reflection, I no longer believe it is appropriate to continue the Tenacious D tour and all future creative plans are on hold,” he stated.
