Omoda & Jaecoo Group is ready to launch the new SUV Jaecoo J7. Equipped with a plug-in hybrid powertrain called “Super Hybrid“, the Chinese model aims to be one of the most interesting in its segment thanks to the technology patented by the Asian company. Let’s try to get to know it better.

According to the Group, the Super Hybrid O&J system uses advanced technologies developed by Omoda & Jaecoo, based on over twenty years of experience in the hybrid technology sector and numerous registered patents.

The O&J Super Hybrid system combines a 1.5 TGDI hybrid engine with a specific single-speed transmission and a specially developed battery together with the related control system for a total of 347 CV.
The first impact
The J7 will arrive in 28 Italian dealerships in the coming months, with list prices expected to be around 40,000 euros. In the meantime, we had the chance to see this Jaecoo in person and to focus especially on the passenger compartment.
The interior of the J7 immediately strikes with its two prominent screens. In front of the driver is a fully digital instrument cluster that provides key driving information, while in the center of the dashboard is a vertical 14.8″ infotainment monitor.

This screen, powered by a processor Qualcomm 8155offers simple graphics and high fluidity. Since there are no physical controls on the dashboard, all the main functions of the vehicle are managed through this display.
From the monitor you can control driving modes, connectivity settings (with standard support for Android Auto and wireless Apple CarPlay), the color of the LED lighting, the 360-degree camera system and the climate control.
As for the upholstery, we find soft-touch materials, as well as leather and moldings that recall steel.
