Protesting students blocked trains and highways in Jamalpur on Wednesday demanding quota reforms. Later, at around 12 noon, their chase was countered with the Chhatra League. 7-8 people including journalists were injured.
Earlier, the students held a peaceful program by blocking Jamalpur-Dewanganj highway at Mirza Azam Chattwar in the city. Later, the agitating students stopped the Dewanganj-bound commuter train from Dhaka at Shekervita railway crossing in the city for 1 hour.
Because of that, around 12 noon, the students had a fight with the government Ashek Mahmud College Chhatra League.
