JBL Go 4 and JBL Clip 5 Review: “The sound of…adventure”!

We are now in the “heart” of summer and it’s time to talk seriously about hours of relaxation on the beach, barbeques at home with friends or vacations in special destinations, which will help us decompress from the burden of winter. Music certainly plays a leading role in every carefree moment of our lives. Therefore, any escape without the right portable speaker seems practically impossible. We had the opportunity to get our hands on two of JBL’s special little speakers, the JBL Go4 and JBL Clip 5. Then read our impressions…

JBL Go4: Grab and go

We have a particular weakness for JBL speakers, so we expect the company to go one step further with every launch. The JBL Go4 did not disappoint us, since the its special design and the various color combinations they make it from the first glance an “accessory” that the user always wants to carry with them. Its big advantage is that it offers a compact and easy-to-use solution for those looking for sound quality in a small size and an affordable price.

Its design is quite attractive: simple lines and a spacious front that houses the speakers. It easily integrates into the wearer’s style and its size is extremely small and convenient. What made a special impression on us is how light the speaker is. So if you are looking for a product suitable for traveling and commuting, this is an ideal choice.

We will not hide from you that, despite the fact that we have had a very good experience with JBL speakers to date, we had a reservation about the performance of the JBL Go4, due to its tiny size and the lack of a subwoofer. However, the sound quality for its class was more than satisfactory, as the bass is remarkable, the sound is clear, with no distortion at maximum volume levels. On the plus side we could also include the support Bluetoothwhich makes it quick and easy to connect to mobile devices and the satisfactory battery that offers up to 7 hours of continuous playback, depending on the volume.

In conclusion, this is an excellent choice for those looking for sound quality in a small package. With satisfactory sound performance for its size, ease of use and attractive design, it is an economical and practical solution for daily use or for travel.

JBL Clip 5: An ultra-portable Bluetooth speaker that will accompany you everywhere!

An alternative proposal, with interesting possibilities is also JBL Clip 5, which comes with a practical clip for easy attachment to bags or clothes, offering even greater ease of transport. If you plan to make some musical “trips” to beaches or swimming pools in the run-up to summer, we inform you that the speaker is waterproof according to the IPX7 standard, offering protection against water ingress and submersion up to 1 meter deep for about 30 minutes.

Like the JBL Go4, the JBL Clip 5, despite its small size, offers clear and powerful sound for its class, with good performance in the mid and low frequencies and is perfect for listening to music and podcasts indoors or outdoors. The powerful driver and passive radiator deliver bigger, more powerful JBL Pro Sound and bass. It is noted that the combination of two Clip 5 together offers stereo sound, while the speaker is available in a variety of colors, to find exactly what you need.

In addition, the connection via Bluetooth is reliable and there are no interruptions in playback. The battery delivers up to 12 hours of playback on a single charge, depending on the volume – and even more with Playtime Boost turned on. Charging is also done via USB. With its compact design and waterproof construction, it is ideal for use in any environment, from the beach to camping.
