Jeep Avenger 4xe, prices of the all-wheel drive crossover

After its debut last May, La. arrives in dealerships Jeep Avenger 4xeall-wheel drive – hybrid – version of the small crossover of the 7 slits. The range is thus complete, with the first 4WD alongside the front-wheel drive ones, available with electric, petrol and mild hybrid powertrains.

The latter is the one dedicated to the Avenger 4xe, but in the 136 HP version. The prices they start from 31,950 euros.

The offer of the Jeep Avenger 4xe unfolds on two setups: Upland and the special The North Face Edition, available in 4,806 units.

The Jeep Avenger 4xe Upland as standard it includes roof bars, rear tow hook, scratch-proof bumper, 17″ black wheels, full LED lights, washable fabric seats, instrumentation and central monitor measuring 10.25″ each, adaptive cruise controlhill descent control and 180° rear camera.

Jeep Avenger 4xe, how all-wheel drive works

Specific for Avenger 4xe il powertrain mild hybrid at 48 Volt is composed of the 1.2 turbo petrol 3-cylinder 136 and two electric motors, one inserted in the transmission – the automatic 6-speed double clutch – and the other combined with the rear axle, thus offering the all-wheel drive. Regardless of the battery charge: the 1.2 can in fact recharge it, thus allowing you to always count on four-wheel drive. The only discriminating factor is speed.

Up to 30 km/h, all-wheel drive is always engaged, with a 50:50 split, while from 31 to 90 km/h it is activated only when necessary. Above 90 km/h you travel only with the front wheels in operation, so as to save fuel.

There is also the Select Terrain system with different driving modes: Auto, Snow, Sand&Mud, Sport.

As with the other models equipped with this engine, the small Jeep can also move in 100% electric mode at low speeds (approximately 1 km of autonomy) and can reach a maximum speed of 194 km/h, going from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.5″.

Jeep Avenger 4xe, technical specifications

Since this is the Jeep Avenger with the most off-road spirit, the 4xe has characteristic angles increased compared to the other versions: attack of 22°, bump of 21° and exit of 35°, with ground clearance of 210 mm. Official data then says that it can tackle slopes of up to 40%, maintaining up to 20% traction even when there is little or no grip on the front axle.
