In response to a question about Samsung’s HBM during a press conference on the 7th (local time), Jensen Huang said, “We are testing Samsung’s HBM. Samsung will undoubtedly succeed in HBM. It’s like believing that tomorrow (which is Tuesday) is Wednesday. “It’s the same,” he said, expressing his strong belief.

He further added, “Samsung was the first to create HBM, which was first used by NVIDIA.”

This comment is interpreted as Jensen Huang implying that although Samsung is unable to supply the latest HBM to NVIDIA, testing is still in progress.

In particular, SK Hynix supplies most of the HBM used in NVIDIA’s latest GPUs.

Jensen Huang also expressed full confidence in HBM supplied by Korea. This is different from the statement that Micron’s memory is used in the latest consumer RTX 50 series GPU presented in the CES keynote the previous day.

“Korea is very impatient, which is a good thing. They have to come up with a new design, but they can do it, they are working very quickly and they have a strong will to do it. I am very confident that they will succeed,” he said. “he said.

This comment can be interpreted as an expression of the company’s desire to receive the latest HBM through Korea at an early stage. Taewon Choi, Chairman of SK Group Jensen Huang at the SK AI Summit It was mentioned that they had requested to supply HBM4, the 6th generation high bandwidth memory, 6 months early. This time, Hwang can be seen as expressing his hope to receive HBM4 early by expressing that Korea is impatient.

Jensen Huang also emphasized the importance of Korean HBM. “SK and Samsung are outstanding companies and outstanding memory manufacturers, and I expect them to continue to be successful. As we showed yesterday (in the keynote), you have seen how much HBM memory is going into the Grace Superchip and Blackwell. HBM memory is “It is a very important factor for us,” he said emphatically.
