On the 2nd, the new CEO of Woori Bank, the first day of his inauguration, he visited Namdaemun Mayor and Korea Management Innovation Small and Medium Business Association (Chairman Myung-jin Kim, hereinafter referred to as Main Biz Association). As a bank president with extensive experience in small and medium-sized business operations, he began his first steps in office by visiting small business owners and small and medium-sized businesses.
On the morning of the 2nd, President Chung’s first schedule after taking office was to visit the Namdaemun Market Merchants Association (Chairman Nam-Yeop Moon), a neighbor near the main branch in Hoehyeon-dong and with which the company has maintained a long-standing partnership, to listen to the difficulties faced by small business owners and discuss ways to support the bank. While serving as head of the Small and Medium Business Group last year, Chairman Jeong promoted the provision of smart card payment terminals to traditional market merchants and the opening of parking lots at the head office and nearby branches to customers visiting the market on weekends. President Jeong, who emphasized that he would provide strength to small business owners at the last inauguration ceremony, selected the Namdaemun Market Merchants Association as his first destination, showing his will to actively take the lead in expanding win-win finance and revitalizing traditional markets.
President Jeong then visited the Main Biz Association located in Jongno-gu, Seoul and discussed supporting small and medium-sized businesses and revitalizing One Biz Plaza, a corporate supply chain finance platform. The Main Biz Association, which helps grow into a global company by selecting, nurturing, and supporting promising small and medium-sized businesses, established a digital financial ecosystem for promising companies in connection with “One Biz Plaza,” which digitizes corporate purchasing activities through an agreement with Woori Bank in February last year. We are collaborating for advancement.
Meanwhile, at the last inauguration ceremony, President Jeong said, “‘Win-win growth’ with customers is the reason for the bank’s existence,” and “We will faithfully fulfill our role of smoothly supplying funds to the real economy in line with the government’s financial policy.”
