Joker: Madness for Two – Digital Life!

From acclaimed writer, director and producer Todd Phillips comes “Joker: Madness for Two,” the highly anticipated sequel to 2019’s Oscar-winning “Joker,” which grossed over $1 billion at the global box office and remains the most successful “inappropriate” film of all time until recently.

The new film stars Joaquin Phoenix, who returns to his Oscar-winning role as Arthur Fleck/Joker, opposite fellow Oscar winner Lady Gaga (A Star Is Born). The film co-stars Oscar nominees Brendan Gleeson (Ghosts of Innsbruck) and Catherine Keener (Run!, Capote), along with Zazie Beach.

“Joker: Madness for Two” finds Arthur Fleck incarcerated in Arkham Asylum, awaiting trial for the crimes he committed as the Joker. While struggling with his split personality, Arthur not only stumbles upon true love, but also discovers the music he’s always hidden within himself.

Phillips, who was nominated for Oscars for Best Director, Best Picture and Best Screenplay for “Joker,” returns to direct “Joker: Madness for Two,” from a script he and fellow Oscar nominee Scott Silver. The script is based on the famous DC characters.

Phillips, Oscar nominee Emma Tillinger Koscoff and Joseph Garner are producing. The film’s musical consultant is Lady Gaga. Michael E. Youslin, Georgia Kakadis, Silver, Mark Friedberg and Jason Ruder are executive producing. Behind the camera, Phillips’ familiar team includes Oscar-nominated cinematographer Lawrence Sher, set designer Mark Friedberg, Oscar-nominated editor Jeff Groth, and composer Hildur Gudnadottir, who won an Academy Award for Music for the first film. New additions include Oscar-nominated costume designer Ariane Phillips (Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Don’t Worry My Love). Ruder is the music producer and Randall Poster and George Drakoulias are the music editors. Francine Meisler (Dune movies, The Rivals) is in charge of casting.
