Joker Out release a new album “Souvenir Pop” – Journey from Eurovision to introspection

Slovenian rockers Joker Out they are back with a new big music project. The long-awaited third album called „Souvenir Pop“ was released today bringing a bold new path wrapped in the distinctive sound of the most successful Slovenian band of the last year.

Building on the success of its predecessors, “Dirty Thoughts” (2021) and “Demons” (2022), Joker Out’s latest release draws inspiration from the spaces, people and memories experienced over the past year and a half. “Souvenir Pop” takes listeners on an emotional journey, evoking the evolution of the band, and the album itself is a collection of ten diverse songs, as different as magnets on the fridge – each represents a vivid moment, but together they form a harmonious whole.

The album begins with the infectious rock song “Muzika za decu”, which embodies the essence of the entire album: a playful, sincere and carefree outpouring of emotions. From there, “Souvenir Pop” unfolds as a journey, starting with energetic songs reminiscent of the band’s Eurovision success, before shifting into deeper, more introspective territory. This emotional arc reflects the band’s own experiences – from the euphoria of breaking the record with “Carpe Diem” at Eurovision 2023, to a thoughtful reflection on the year that followed.

The single “Stephanie” introduces fans to the album “Souvenir Pop”, which is available on all streaming platforms. It will be the fifth single in total after “Carpe Diem”, “Everybody’s Waiting” and two big regional summer hits, “Šta bih ja” and “Bluza”, which fans have listened to more than 2.5 million times so far.

He produced the album Žarko Pakand on it the band embraces new sounds and explores some new musical territories. “We experimented with instruments, like children in a sandbox, exploring new toys and letting ourselves be creative,” the band explains, hinting at the freedom and curiosity that shaped the album.

The album “Souvenir Pop” will be able to be experienced live on the upcoming tour, during which the band will perform in Ljubljana (November 22 and 23; the first concert is sold out), Novi Sad (November 26), Belgrade (November 27 November, sold out), Skopje (December 1), Zagreb (December 3), Maribor (December 6) and Vienna (December 9).
