Joker: Folie à Deux hasn’t gotten our socks off as wildly as one might have imagined based on the first film of 2019. Now Warner Bros. has released one more trailer to get the ticket sales for the sequel to the hit movie going.
The new trailer for Joker: Folie à Deux primarily presents the romance between Joker (Joaquin Phoenix) and Harley Quinn (Lady Gaga), but also reminds us of the praise the film has garnered.
Rotten Tomatoesia however, with a glance you can quickly notice that Joker’s sequel has not been phenomenal according to everyone. After 49 reviews, Joker: Folie à Deux’s freshness rate is only 63 percent.
For the 2019 Joker, the corresponding figure is only slightly better: 69 percent. On the side of so-called regular viewers, the freshness rate is clearly better, i.e. 89 percent. It may be that even this time the paying public will be more excited about Joker than the critics, although the musical parts have caused many superhero fans worry and confusion before the premiere.
Joker: Folie à Deux will arrive in Finnish cinemas in a couple of weeks, on Friday, October 4.
