Jos Verstappen continues his feud with Red Bull team principal Christian Horner, saying his warnings are starting to come true.
In a recent interview on the sidelines of the East Belgium Rally, Max Verstappen’s father said the developments are exactly what he feared would happen at the start of the year.
Yes, that’s what I warned about. The team then said, “Oh, never mind, we’ve got somebody else (to put in that position).” But there are too many people now leaving. And Max gets asked about it every time and so on. So yeah, I think it’s just not good, what’s going on right now. He (Horner) always ignores warnings.
Red Bull’s on-track performance has declined in recent months, with the team losing the constructors’ championship lead to McLaren, with the British outfit 41 points ahead with 6 races remaining.
On the other hand, Max Verstappen after winning 7 of the first 10 races of the season has won the last 8 Grands Prix, seeing his lead in the drivers’ championship cut from Lando Norris to 52 points.
